Netflix is a treasure trove of entertainment, offering a diverse array of shows to suit every taste. From thrilling sci-fi to gripping dramas, there’s always something new to discover. This April, get ready for the highly anticipated return of Black Mirror with its seventh season, alongside other must-watch recommendations.

Black Mirror Season 7: A Dystopian Delight Returns

Mark your calendars! Black Mirror is back on April 10th with six brand-new episodes. Charlie Brooker’s acclaimed dystopian sci-fi series promises a mix of genres and styles, guaranteed to leave you on the edge of your seat. Netflix has dropped a new trailer that shows Emma Corrin, Rashida Jones and Peter Capaldi. With promises of feature-length episodes, some deeply unpleasant, some funny, and some emotional, Brooker describes this season as a return to OG Black Mirror.

‘USS Callister’ Sequel: A First for Black Mirror

In a groundbreaking move, Black Mirror is revisiting one of its past episodes for the first time. Season 7 will feature a sequel to the iconic ‘USS Callister’ episode from series 4. Remember Robert Daly’s virtual Star Trek-like nightmare? Well, Nanette and her crew are back, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for them. Billy Magnussen, Milanka Brooks, Osy Ikhile, Will Poulter and Asim Chaudhry will be returning.

Brooker said, “Fans of the show will recognise the cast of a certain spaceship from one of our episodes reappearing. We’ve done a sequel for the first time in Black Mirror history. Normally, I kill off all the characters at the end of an episode, [but] I kept some of ’em alive. I’m growing as a human.”

What to Expect from Season 7

According to Brooker, expect a mix of genres and styles. Some episodes will be deeply unpleasant, others quite funny, and some emotional. He describes the new series as a “little bit OG Black Mirror,” with sci-fi stories and disturbing content.

Empire has reported that a black and white episode, titled ‘Hotel Reverie,’ will pay homage to classic Hollywood cinema. It will star Emma Corrin as 1940s movie star Dorothy Chambers, and Issa Rae as fellow actress Brandy Friday.
